The aromas are an explosion of hand-picked olallieberry, anise and black cherry. Vibrant red fruit stacked on top of blueberry paste and ripe plum to create a palate that is multi-dimensional and luscious. Juicy and soft, the 2015 Barbera is plush and made for every day drinking, but will make any occasion seem special. Drink Now - 2020.

VINTAGE NOTES

Overall the 2013 vintage was a grand slam and the best I’ve seen in 15 years. Temperatures were never too extreme and here in Amador County, we rarely saw days over 100F. As is typical, we continued to experience the dramatic diurnal temperature swings in the evenings, where nighttime lows dipped into the upper 40F’s providing the perfect conditions for optimal acid development. Grapes ripened evenly and the colors, tannins, and overall flavor matrix across all varieties was stunning. Veraison occurred a few weeks early, which allowed the grapes an exceptional amount of hang time enabling them to develop excellence in every facet. The resulting wines from this vintage are deep and concentrated, and I am confident they will be enjoyed for years to come.
