2013 Grand Wren
The 2013 Grand Wren dazzles with its complexity and opulence that is superbly multi-dimensional. On the nose the density of fruit continually evolves from black currant to blackberry and black cherry. On the palate, flavors of white pepper, dried strawberry and cardamom seamlessly flow into a long lingering finish of boysenberry and dark chocolate. The Grand Wren has a wonderful freshness that is complimented by a beautifully dry minerality and deep, rounded tannins. Texturally flawless, this gorgeous wine is powerful, elegant and richly layered while maintaining grace and balance between each of its many facets. Drink July 2016 through 2024.
