Hailing from the Cooper Vineyard, the 2016 Viognier was fermented in stainless steel with half of the lot being transferred to a new 500 liter French oak puncheon for a period of 6 weeks. A weekly bâtonnage helped to develop a silky smooth mouthfeel to balance the wines vibrant natural acidity. On the nose you’ll find vivid aromas of white pear, honey and lemongrass. Lively and full of energy on the palate, it’s a refreshing and pleasant wine loaded with juicy, ripe citrus flavors and a long silky finish with ever so slight hints of grapefruit. Drink now.
