2016 The Estate Vineyard Zinfandel
This is a stunning showcase of classic Amador Zinfandel. Grown in shallow, iron rich soil on the northern edge of Amador County, these vines produce voluptuous and complex wines. An alluring bouquet of red currant and lush cherry grows in complexity with secondary aromas of fresh thyme and black pepper. Red fruit driven, this wine exhibits vivacious flavors blackberry jam, wild raspberry and strawberry with seductive undertones of Macadamia nut, coffee bean and chocolate covered cherries. The silky tannins balance perfectly with the vibrant acidity to create a long, elegant finish. A wine of considerable depth and structure, it will continue to improve with cellaring. Drink now through 2026.
