2016 Riker Vineyard Zinfandel
Tucked into a hillside, the Riker Vineyard is exposed to the shortest daylight of any of the vineyards that we source from, yet it yields some of the most unique and expressive Zinfandel. This vineyard consistently produces wines that are rich, bright and full of vitality. The 2016 Riker Zinfandel is deep in color with voluptuous aromas of dusty blackberry, cherry cola, peppermint, oregano and caramel. On the palate, the wine exhibits velvety smooth tannins and a beautiful array of ripe black cherry, red apple, and blood orange with secondary flavors of vanilla and herbs. Intense with vibrant acidity that amplifies the wine all the way through its long elegant finish. This wine is certain to age gracefully and continue to evolve for the next several years. Drink now through 2024.
