2017 Sauvignon Blanc
Light pale in color, this Sauvignon Blanc is from a tiny hilltop vineyard in Shenandoah Valley. The extremely low yields of approximately 1 ton per acre are what produce this wine of considerable complexity. Distinct aromas of lemon grass, key lime pie and honey vanilla on the nose lead to precision and balance on the palate. The tension and focus of this wine are exemplary. The vivid lemon-lime acidity creates a brightness that is matched by texturally seductive honey suckle notes for a round mouthfeel that leads to its extremely easy drinkability.
