Zinfully Delicious Blueberry Compote

  • 1/2 cup Pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup 2010 Renwood Winery Murita Zinfandel
  • 3 cups Blueberries, stemmed and rinsed
  • Sea salt (pinch)

Heat a small saucepan on medium high. Add the maple syrup. Cook swirling the pan until syrup is fragrant and bubbling. Pour in the zinfandel. Cook 2 minutes. Add the blueberries and pinch of salt. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until thick. Remove from heat. Let cool and serve at room temperature.
